Our end of year was very uneventful. We all 3 went to the Dr starting on the 29th and finally me on the 31st. We were all sick and on antibiotics for the new year.
I am the last one to start feeling better. I think this strep throat can leave!
I have felt really weak, and just have not felt this bad ever in my life. A fever of 102.6 is no fun! I think about how I've missed out playing with Lorna this past week and it makes me so sad.
I can not imagine how I would feel if I had a terminal illness and would never get any better. My heart breaks for the parents that will never get well enough to play with their babies again. Praise God I will and what a blessing to know that I will recover!
I am on the upswing and will be fine by the first of the week, so sickness...you can leave now!

Welcome back Q!
| You see these sweet lil faces...they are having so much fun! |
We haven't seen Q in 4 days! He is really missed when he's not around. He's always into something and always making you smile. He is my lil buddy.
| She took me literally when I said, "what if you were in his shoes" |
Lorna is wearing Q's rain boots. She just came walking in here with them on. Q and I looked at her and he said, "dats my boots!" LOL! So cute. She wore them for 20 minutes. Just had to walk around in his shoes for a bit I suppose.
We had a good day today playing and watching 2 hours of Caillou. I am really excited Wednesday is bringing some sunshine and warm weather. Outside we will go. The zoo will be in our future, that is for sure.

Ahhhh
The shower went very well on Saturday. It was a beautiful spring like day with all the sunshine you could handle. Everyone enjoyed and had a good time.
Today we worked in the childrens church during 2nd service. David and I really enjoyed it and got to observe some cool things that are going on with the elementary school kids. Good stuff.
We grilled some burgers for lunch and ate out on our deck. Lorna was very excited to take part in this activity. She is a fan of "outshide" and thought it was great eating out there. So cute. It is amazing how the first things are perceived and experienced by little ones. Makes you wonder how we ever got away from the wonderment of it all.
Ready to head for bed. Morning will be here early and before I know it.
Just want to say what a blessing it is to have the husband and daughter that I have and the extended families that we got. Praise God for our Godly heritage.

Shew!!!
What a day! Lorna and I couldn't run any of our errands this week because David took my keys to Philadelphia with him by accident. When we realized they had flown with him on his trip, I told him not to worry about FedExing them to me I would be fine. Trying to save $20.
Well, today Lorna and I started out at 9:30am to run some errands for the baby shower I'm throwing for my sister in law tomorrow and to go to story time.
We went by the bank, then the credit union and on to Target. After leaving Target, I had just enough time to go by the post office, buy stamps and on to the library. Lorna decided she was hungry as we were leaving the post office, and I realized I had left a coupon at home, so I decided to skip story time and head back toward the house.
I get to the house, unload the few items I purchased at Target and then off to Applebee's for lunch. Lorna wanted nuggets, so I thought that was a good place for a compromise and she could get applesauce with some chicken tenders. Yeah, so I thought...after 3 bites of applesauce and 1 bite of chicken tender, she was ready to go. Not even her chocolate milk could convince her. Good thing I got a small lunch plate of a side salad and pasta penne.
We headed on across town to Babies R Us, and of course, she fell asleep on the way there, so I sat in the truck with her until she woke up. A 30 minute conversation with my mom and short one with my husband helped occupy my time while I sat and waited. Cell phones are good for some things. :-)
We get into Babies R Us and she likes playing with the toys and walking. She does not like riding in the cart. So, for our hour long shopping adventure for gifts and necessities, it was a battle and whining. We finally leave there and go to Big Lots and Carolina Pottery. No success at either place, but Lorna did convince me to buy her a bag of chocolate filled cookies. On to McDonald's for me to get a large sweet tea. Much needed at this point of the day.
We drive a few exits down to Home Goods and I SCORE!! Get exactly what I'm looking for and at a good price. Exciting times, Lorna was content the whole time and I'm getting a second wind to finish up these errands.
Drive back across town and head to WalMart. Lorna wanted to ride in her stroller, so I was happy to oblige. Only, I didn't consider all of the things I would have to carry with one hand since I was pushing her in her stroller with the other, but I managed. Got all of the things there that I needed, but forgot to use my gift card! UGH! I don't shop there for a reason, and only went there to use that thing. Now, I have to go back for something else. Hopefully I won't forget about it until I muster up the courage to return. Lorna did great in there as well. She is an absolute doll! Leave there; head home to drop off Lorna with David and unload the vehicle then off to Sam's for a much needed frozen food run. It is now pushing 7pm and I'm exhausted. Yet, I push on. These errands must be completed today. Then, I realize we have no meat thawing out for dinner. So, I decide we'll eat out and go as soon as I return from Sam's. Get everything from that stop and back home. Unload the vehicle again, and off to Roadhouse the 3 of us go. It is now 8pm and the wait is 40 minutes. I'm exhausted, Lorna is exhausted, David is exhausted and we are all hungry. So, we leave, drive through Burger King (gag) and order our food. Lorna falls asleep before we get home. David carries her in and puts her to bed in her clothes, and we sit down.
I am ready for tomorrow to get here so I will have sleep and this crazy day behind me. If I had only let my husband spend that $20...

Another Snowy Day
We have had an abundance of snow this winter season. Already a good snow fall for the year. Lorna and I enjoyed making a snowman and playing outside today with our neighbors Aimee and Emma.
Lorna was not to thrilled about coming back inside, but the snow cream we made seemed to help. She enjoyed it a lot.

Been a long time
Wow! The past several months have flown by! My lil angel is up and walking and running, and talking, has almost all of her teeth, is ready to be potty trained and I'm just trying to catch up with her.
This year has definitely been a blessing. I've been able to travel a bit and enjoy family and friends. Lorna got to fly with me to Chicago so I could go to my first NFL game. Bears vs Vikings. It was a blast. Becca and I went with Eric to the game while Auntie Martha watched Lorna. We all enjoyed!
Christmas yesterday was so fun! Lorna actually liked to tear the paper and see the "pwesents!" She wished everyone a "Merry Missmas" and got a ton of new toys. (Still trying to figure out where to put all of them.)
We had a white Christmas, so we were able to sled down our backyard. and Lorna got to eat snow. Don't worry, me made sure it wasn't yellow. (hee-hee)
I plan on blogging more as the following weeks come up. I will have pictures to post and I'm sure lots of fun stories to share.
I pray each and everyone of you had a wonderful Christmas and that you have a blessed New Year!
